Amy Heimel has joined Everett Gaskins Hancock as a pro bono extern for the fall semester. She will assist the firm’s attorneys on matters referred from Legal Aid of North Carolina and the Guardian ad Litem program. Amy is a third-year law student at Campbell Law School.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Amy has lived in Raleigh for 35 years. She earned her undergraduate degree in Comparative Area Studies in East Asia (Japanese) from Duke University. She also earned her paralegal certificate from Duke. Amy recently returned from studying International Law and Human Rights in Education at Cambridge University in England.
Amy has a passion for serving others. As a former business owner, medical group administrator, and case manager, Amy looks forward to using her diverse background and education to benefit the firm’s clients and help them to achieve their objectives.
In addition to spending time with her three children on the soccer field, Amy enjoys spending time with friends, biking and documentaries.
