James Hash Obtains Trial Verdict in SEO Software Trade Secret Case

James Hash served as lead counsel for plaintiffs in a trial involving misappropriation of trade secrets and unfair trade practices claims in the context of search engine optimization (SEO) software. George Enters. Int’l, Inc. v. Marshall, 10 CVS 12635 (Wake Co. Super. Ct. Aug. 29, 2013). After an eight-day bench trial, the Wake County Superior Court entered judgment in plaintiffs’ favor on their trade secret claims in the amount of $87,702 and trebled that amount pursuant to North Carolina’s Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act. The verdict was reported in the December 16, 2013, edition of North Carolina Lawyers Weekly.
