An article written for the Everett Gaskins Hancock website on the historic Briggs Hardware Building, which houses the law firm, has won a national writing award. The article, written by Clifton Barnes of Cary, earned an Award of Excellence from the DC area-based Communications Concepts through its 2012 Awards for Publication Excellence competition. The article was one of only two national winners in the Web Writing category. Mr. Barnes, a UNC-Chapel Hill journalism and political science graduate, also contributed to the development of other web content on EGHlaw.com. The article can be accessed here:
