Biography

Elizabeth R. Harrison (“Biz”) is an experienced commercial real estate attorney representing commercial buyers, sellers, developers, builders and lenders in complex real estate matters. Elizabeth’s ability to utilize relationships established through her diverse background sets her apart. She delivers the highest level of service to her commercial clients. Elizabeth spent twenty plus years in private practice and the last seven years as Title Counsel with a major national Underwriter and then a North Carolina Title Agency. Elizabeth has valuable insight into handling commercial transactions both in North Carolina and in other states having assisted from the title insurance side making risk decisions, coordinating transactions and in exporting commercial matters all over the country.  

 

Elizabeth had the distinct honor to serve as the Chair of the North Carolina Bar Association Real Property Section in 2014-2015. During her time as an active member of the Real Property Section which continues currently and her association with North Carolina Land Title Association, Elizabeth has participated in legislative lobbying, drafting, stakeholder groups and providing advice regarding statutes that affect real property specifically including, but not limited to, the Mechanic’s Lien legislation, revisions to the Power of Attorney statute, Curative Statute, revisions to the Condominium Act, and Remote Electronic Notary Act.

 

Raleigh has been Elizabeth’s home since 1997 after growing up in Wilson, North Carolina. When she is not working, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, the beach and painting. It is not uncommon to catch her at a UNC game or World Cup Soccer event.
