Experience

Bill's practice specialty is business and consumer business bankruptcy, business law, and transactional law. Bill is a Board Certified Specialist in Business Bankruptcy Law and Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the North Carolina State Bar. This specialization provides recognition of his expertise and commitment to excellence. Whether he is representing clients in Raleigh, the Triangle, Eastern North Carolina, or other locations, he is a passionate about helping his clients obtain effective results and the relief they need to move on with their lives. 

About Bill

Before joining our firm in 2020, Bill was an associate at Stubbs Perdue for over 10 years, served as a law clerk to United States Bankruptcy Judge A. Thomas Small (retired), and as a student law clerk to the United States Magistrate Judge Wallace Dixon (retired). Prior to attending law school, Bill worked at various positions in higher education administration at Binghamton University for 12 years.

Community

Bill is active in the community. He serves as Secretary for the Enclave at Barton's Creek Home Owner's Association Board of Directors. Previously, he volunteered on the Endeavor Charter School Board of Directors (Chairman and Secretary), Endeavor Charter School Foundation (Chair), and the A.E. Finley YMCA, where he has served on the Branch Board, coached for several youth leagues including soccer and basketball, and earned Volunteer of the Year for 2014. In his free time, he enjoys running and spending time with his wife, four children, and 2 dogs. As an avid runner he has completed ten marathons, including three Boston Marathons.
