The education law practice of EGH is committed to helping clients improve educational opportunities for students in North Carolina’s public schools. Through creative problem solving and understanding the needs of their clients, the education law practice provides innovative approaches to complex issues facing schools. Lawyers in this practice, Gerry Hancock and Ann McColl, work closely with school leaders and non-profit organizations. Their work draws on their extensive legal and policy backgrounds at the state and local level.
Through the education law practice, EGH is a part of complex constitutional litigation; advises and assists clients in regard to state policy and law; and works with clients to structure relationships between superintendents and local boards of education. The education practice also draws on the expertise of other attorneys in the firm, including in litigation and business contracts to provide full service to their clients.
