Biography
Andrew Simpson's practice focuses on business and commercial litigation, as well as state and local government affairs.
Andrew grew up in Carrboro, North Carolina, and earned his bachelor’s degree in economics at UNC-Chapel Hill. He then spent five years in Washington, D.C., where he worked on Capitol Hill as a senior policy advisor and communications director. He returned to North Carolina to attend law school at UNC-Chapel Hill, where he was a member of the Broun National Trial Team, North Carolina Banking Institute Journal, and Holderness Moot Court International Team.
Following law school, Andrew served as a law clerk for the Honorable Sam J. Ervin, IV, on the Supreme Court of North Carolina, and subsequently served as Chief Counsel for Policy and Intergovernmental Affairs for the North Carolina Judicial Branch. When not practicing law, Andrew enjoys coaching youth basketball, spending time with family, and listening to live music.
