Commercial Real Estate
Between “look at this offer” and “the deed is recorded” a title search reveals the details of ownership, the implications of easements are discussed, email strings accumulate, documents stack up, and lender instructions get parsed. Organizational skills, unflagging attention to details and adaptability are required. Over his 21 years in private practice, Larry McBennett has developed the know-how to assist clients with the purchase of office and medical buildings, shopping centers, vacant land and industrial and flex space. Along with purchases he closes commercial refinances, reviews and helps negotiate leases and drafts restrictive covenants and condominium declarations.
Interwoven with most commercial real estate deals are business transactions, which are a primary component of Larry’s practice. Larry can set up a limited liability company to acquire real estate, revamp the ownership of a partnership or corporation, prepare or review contracts and tenant leases, and draft whatever documents are needed. In addition, having represented many homeowners associations, Larry has expertise in establishing owners associations, interpreting restrictive covenants and counseling clients on the enforceability of covenants.
