James Hash recently received the Robinson O. Everett Professionalism Award at the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) annual meeting. James was presented with the award by the NCBA’s Young Lawyers Division at its annual luncheon on June 25, 2016. His wife Kristi and his eldest son, Wren, were present. The Robinson O. Everett Award is so named in honor of the late Judge Everett, a Duke Law professor who served as the Chief Justice of the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and is the Firm’s namesake. In addition to his many accomplishments, Judge Everett had a passion for service to the legal community. The Award is presented each year to an attorney whose involvement in civic, bar service, law school education and community service activities inspire others. James is a partner at Everett Gaskins Hancock, serves as the Firm’s pro bono coordinator, is a member of the Craven-Everett American Inn of Court, and is active in NCBA and the Wake County Bar Association (WCBA). In 2015, James served as President of the WCBA Young Lawyers Division.
